the photos of the exhibit

07 Apr

It took me an hour and a half to get everything right. Real fun in a tiny little room with no air circulation! I *was* ready to strip off my shirt and go bra-ed only, but that’s not the kind of Artist’s Body “statement” i want to make :) It helped a little that i left the front floods off until i was done and all the tools out, but barely. As i was photographing, i was wiping sweat from my dimpled brow and blowing down the bosom front to cool off the girls……….

In a way, it looks sparse, floor wise at least, but at the same time, everything has its place and can be seen without distraction. It’s hard to believe there’s a year and a bit worth of work in here!

The photos can be seen singly and in detail by clicking on “all sizes” above each photo here on my Flickr, or the “slideshow” there.

Overheard in my head:

I don’t know why arlee was so upset about the setting up part. Twit.

Sorry about that. Smiling and winking wasn’t such a good idea.

    Arlee:

Thank you for sharing your experience with this exhibit. Your work is *stunning* and I will not soon understand rejection in the art world or quilt art world or fiber art world or the world in general.

looks fabulous, arlee, and certainly like lots of work… congratulations. I really like the way the shadows/light/reflections play with your work, too.
