happy and pink and blue and happy

Hope you’re bearing with me as i rediscover the joys of machine work! The plans are to incorporate some of these ideas in future work, and yes, augmented and enhanced with hand embroidery. There’s something to be said about a page started–that trick of colour-washing the scarey blank facing you can pull over into needlework/fibre art as well!

Based on the earlier verb form of pink, which means to cut or to pierce, i’m venturing into some new experiments.

And how about these for Magic? THESE are what the new year and magic are all about, not a word, not a promise or resolution, not a list or a diet, but real and wondrous natural magic, surrounding us always if we just look.

That pink stitched symbol is very regal…have you thought about it against a deep royal purple ground…perhaps with a touch of gold? And all the blues and greys and whites in those wonderful winter photos! Yum!
