Not sure the Cosmos isn’t trying to tell me something–last night, while pulling that big ass needle through a rusted area, my finger slipped up the shaft and sliced across the point. A fast application of liquid skin and i could continue, but there are teeny specks of blood now on that section===just hoping they fade to brown and match the ucky colour of the cotton! Fortunately it was not the same finger that i poked the big hole in with the blunt end……
I’ve been having restless nights with images of strange cloth shapes slithering over the bed trying to tie themselves together with long stringy fingers—-is it a new idea aborning or just a cigar?

Knowing you, you’ll turn it into an advantage somehow.

Coincidentally, I was adding some french knots to some flowers in the wee hours last night, and managed to sew right through a few layers of skin on my index finger. I just pulled the needle out, none the worse; but then I stabbed myself on a pin in the piece – realy deeply, and bled copiously all over the batting. A secret DNA deposit in my work.
(After THAT I decided to go to bed!)
Hope your boo-boos get better soon!

The keeping on woman! There is nothing to stop your progress on a project. Have you ever heard of or tried the old tailor’s practice of keeping a small bit of cotton or linen tucked between the cheek and the gums…sort of like chew….and then when there is a drop of blood the miracle of our own saliva dissolves the blood instantly when the cloth is applied to the stain. ( I have been employing this technique for over 50 years now…custom sewing and costuming for theatre and film the little wad never failed to save the day for me.)
