TUSALs and ORTs oh my

27 Dec

I’ve always wondered how many thread ends gets generated when i do my stitching, so on MaryAnne’s instigation, i’ve signed up too. No contest, no prizes, but i love the name TUSAL, or “Totally Useless Stitch ALong” 🙂 Orts are the ends and odds of thread (and fabric) that are the trim offs. It starts in 2013 and i am keeping 2 jars (to start 🙂 ), one for hand stitch, one for Lalage.
Each month on the new moon, we all post pictures so let’s see how long it takes to fill a jar, and how much does accumulate! A silly thing, but that IS the point 🙂

For some weird reason, I’ve always kept my orts. At least, the ones that didn’t get sucked up in the vaccuum cleaner. But … I can’t join TARSUL ’cause I don’t have a blog. I would have a blog, but I don’t have a whole lot to say that anyone would be interested in. I would just be talking to myself. So, I will continue cramming my orts in a jar and talking to myself. :p

Cool! I’ve been keeping my ORTs, too. They’re so pretty all in a pile, I keep thinking I might use them for something someday…
